Read about TransitAbout Matthew
My name is Matthew Smith. I’ve been a resident of Orangeville for 10 years. I am dedicated to this community through my volunteering and my advocacy. I do my best to minimize my impact on the town by walking and cycling as much as I can. I am involved with many groups in the town. My participation in council committees, local events, volunteering as well as my involvement with council meetings gives me a broad perspective on the needs of Orangeville. I volunteer weekly at the Food Bank. I am on two town committees; Sustainable Orangeville and the Official Plan committee. In my personal life, I work for a municipal government as a GIS (Geographic Information System) technician. I am responsible for mapping and maintaining data for municipal infrastructure. I also review construction drawings for projects to ensure accuracy between what is shown on paper vs what went in the ground.
